Like most self taught fashion designers, I began designing because I would go shopping and go uninspired. I have always loved fashion starting with the love of the supermodel in the '90s and then later would fall in love with the clothes. I began designing because I would see something in my head but I couldn't find it anywhere. I remember once watching a Zuhair Murad, Haute Couture fashion show and as his final grand piece walked down the runway, I was spiritually moved to tears and I thought to myself - I want to do that.

I think that my greatest asset as a designer is the fact that I am self taught, that gives me the possibility to play around with the many ideas I have without being influenced by any theory or specific bias. I hope that through my work I can impact the world and make it a more open, friendlier and less rigid place.
